Do you think of young Prince Harry when you look in the mirror in the morning? Then this is a unique opportunity for you. An actor of the British royal is wanted for the hit series “The Crown”. Acting skills are not that important.
The hit series “The Crown” is looking for an actor to play the young Prince Harry. In the sixth season of the Netflix series, the wanted person would be the now 38-year-old Duke of Sussex between 16 and 20 years old. The music theater agency “British Youth Music Theater” among others posted the casting call on Twitter.
According to the casting call, the sought-after actor does not need any experience as a professional actor. More important is the resemblance to the teenage Harry. In addition to a current selfie, interested parties should also submit a short video. Ask them to talk for 30 seconds about something they enjoy doing. The application deadline is October 14. Shooting is scheduled to begin in November.
“The Crown” has already announced the completion of the role of Harry’s older brother William. Two actors play the current Prince of Wales: 16-year-old Rufus Kampa and 21-year-old Ed McVey. For both it is the debut in front of the camera. But the two have been on stage before. It is not yet known whether Harry will also be played by multiple actors.
Meg Bellamy plays Kate
The actress who will play the young princess Kate has also been determined. Meg Bellamy plays William’s future wife. The 19-year-old has just graduated from drama school and it is also her first TV role.
The sixth and final season of The Crown follows the deaths of Williams and Harry’s mother Diana in 1997. Season five will premiere on Netflix on November 9, 2022 and focuses on the early 1990s.
“The Crown” is one of Netflix’s most expensive projects to date. Despite many historical inaccuracies, the series received mostly positive reactions. As a reward, she has already received seven Golden Globe Awards and ten Emmys.
