Nick Cannon becomes a father for the tenth time
10/01/2022 11:03 am
Baby boom with American star Nick Cannon: Son Legendary Love doesn’t see the light of day until June, followed by daughter Onyx Ice Cole in September. Now the American comedian has become a father again. By choosing a name for the new progeny, Cannon literally awakens the Redeemer.
Unbelievable, but American star Nick Cannon has become a father again. As the comedian announced via Instagram, his tenth child was born on September 23 — just under a week after he got miracle number nine from another woman. Cannon also revealed the name of the newest and probably not the last addition to the family in his post. No joke, apparently the tenth child is called Rise Messiah Cannon.
Of all the births he has experienced, Rise Messiah’s was the most difficult. Mother Brittany Bell, with whom Cannon has two children, Powerful Queen and Golden, endured “48 hours of agony and life-threatening danger” before welcoming “ten pounds of love and joy” together.
It wasn’t until September 14 that Cannon experienced his ninth paternal joy when daughter Onyx Ice Cole Cannon was born: “God gave me and Lanisha Cole the privilege of recording an angel here on Earth,” Cannon wrote of a black-and-white photograph, showing him in the hospital with Onyx and her mother, model Lanisha Cole. It’s Cole’s first child.
Only became a father for the eighth time at the end of June
But it gets even crazier: Cannon only became a father for the eighth time at the end of June this year: the son goes by the sonorous name Legendary Love. His mother, model Bre Tiesi, announced this on Instagram a month after the birth.
Tragedy struck Cannon’s seventh child: The child they shared with musician Alyssa Scott, son Zen, died of a brain tumor last December at the age of just five months.
He also has twins Moroccan and Monroe with pop star Mariah Carey. In June 2021, DJ Abby De La Rosa also gave him the twins Zion and Zillion. De La Rosa is currently pregnant again, but she hasn’t revealed who the father is yet – if it’s Cannon’s again, he’ll probably have to come up with another sounding name in early 2023.
