A few days ago, Sarah Jessica Parker left an event where she needed to be honored. Now the sad reason for this is known: the stepfather of the American actress died after “an unexpected and rapid illness”.
Tough fate for Sarah Jessica Parker: the actress lost her stepfather Paul Griffin Forste. The family confirmed this to People magazine. Accordingly, Forste, who had married Parker’s mother Barbra in 1969, died last Wednesday “after an unexpected and rapid illness at the age of 76”.
In his final hours, he was “surrounded by the love and gratitude of his beloved wife Barbra” and his children, “including Sarah Jessica Parker,” the statement said.
After her parents divorced in 1969, Sarah Jessica Parker stayed with her mother, who soon married the actress’ stepfather. The marriage to Paul Griffin Forste produced four more children.
A few days ago, Parker was on the red carpet in New York for the premiere of her new movie “Hocus Pocus 2”. On Wednesday evening, the 57-year-old would be honored at the annual fashion gala of the New York Ballet. However, Page Six reported that the actress left the event early due to a “devastating family emergency”.
