MOSCOW, Sept 23 (Reuters) – Russia’s ambassador to the United States said on Friday he wanted to believe that Moscow and Washington would not plunge into the ‘precipice of nuclear conflict’, RIA Novosti news agency reported.
In Russia, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Friday that Moscow is not threatening anyone with nuclear weapons and that a confrontation with the United States and NATO is not in Russia’s interest, Russian state news agencies reported. (Reuters report; edited in Spanish by Juana Casas)
