American rapper Coolio has passed away, he died in Los Angeles at the age of 59, his manager Susan Heber announced on Wednesday. She initially gave no information about the cause of death. Coolio, whose real name is Artis Leon Ivey Jr. celebrated his biggest success in 1995 with the hit “Gangsta’s Paradise”.
As “TMZ” reports, Coolio died at the house of a friend he was visiting. He went to the toilet and when he didn’t come out after a while, the friend checked on him and found him lying on the floor, they said. The paramedics, who pronounced him dead, assumed a cardiac arrest, but the investigation was ongoing. The investigators found no drugs or drug paraphernalia at the scene, TMZ continues. An autopsy should clarify the exact cause of death.
