Doctor fails at Jauch’s birthday party

Even the children’s party overwhelms the candidates for “Who wants to be a millionaire?”. One after another crashes into the Zocker Special. Does anyone come above 1000 euros? That’s not only Günther Jauch’s question. Fortunately, there is the 19-year-old gambler.
“Big” was featured in this gambling special of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” (WWM) especially the disappointment about Günther Jauch. “Laughter and crying are very close in this show,” the presenter stated resignedly on Tuesday evening. His humble hopes that “someone could slowly get over 1000” was disappointed time and again. Four of the six candidates of the evening dropped to the security level of 1000 euros. Recovery, the date limit and even the age on the birthday left the contenders with a loss of two million euros.

Three crashes in a row set the tone for the first half of the extra-long edition. Perhaps it was already a bad omen that in the first round of selection only five of the eight candidates were able to assign their correct party to the top candidates in the Bundestag. Jeffrey Paulus from Düsseldorf batted first. Asked for 16,000 euros, the employee of a collection agency took the motto of the program to heart. “Mr. Jauch, I’ll bet and take C,” the 25-year-old announced. “That honors you – isn’t it…”, the RTL presenter had to bring the first bad news of the evening.
Donut or burger?
Paul had advised that websites should have a button named after the round dough, thanks to its resemblance to the donut. In fact, however, the question editors were looking for the so-called Three-Line Hamburger Menu in the culinary navigation aids. The next candidate, Julian Ullrich from Cologne, did not get past the 2000 euro question. The emergency physician should know, “What birthday do you usually celebrate when you turn ten?” The doctor came right away on the eleventh birthday.

“You are one when you are born,” Ullrich explained his train of thought. That may be the case in the Republic of Korea. In Germany, on the other hand, the tenth year of life ends with the tenth birthday. The man from Cologne was so shocked by his retirement that he immediately jumped up from his chair. “I was completely blown away,” he stated in amazement. “Sneak away then,” Jauch asked the unfortunate one. He then no longer wanted to be explained by the host where his reasoning was and interrupted Jauch with a short “Goodbye”.
With Anke Haase from Pausa-Mühltroff in Vogtland, the bad luck finally seemed to be over. The school administration employee came through the round confidently. But she also gambled too much once. In the beginning, she definitely brought her daring to the €32,000 question where her four jokers were unlocked. Two went away immediately, the third in the lap after. Haase needs to know where the subject of recovery plays an important role. Thanks to the 50:50 joker, her only choice was between electric cars and jukeboxes.
Jauch warns candidate
Haase immediately opted for the jukeboxes. Jauch tried to stop the disaster. “Do you want to talk me into electric cars?” the candidate suspected. The moderator appealed to reason. “We’re just in an area where it’s getting dangerous. People have already saved themselves from death,’ he said, looking at the last prankster. But Haase decided: “I’ll take D, I’m guessing for the third time. But that’s enough.” Jauch could only agree to this when he sent the candidate home with 1000 euros.
The show started promisingly. Overhang candidate Jörg Riehemann from the night before’s gambler special came back with the question of 125,000 euros and was also happy with this amount. The employee of the Allwetterzoos Münster played it safe and got out in the next round. Because he has big plans for the money. The winnings are expected to travel to next year’s women’s World Cup in Australia and fund the 2026 men’s World Cup in North America. “It would be difficult with 1,000 euros,” Riehemann explained his exit.
After the crash hat-trick, biochemistry student Tom Starke from Wiesbaden added some spice. The 19-year-old is already an experienced stock speculator and takes calculated risks. Perhaps that’s why he knew at Jauch when it was time to leave. With 125,000 euros, Starke can now easily finance his studies and possible further training to become a patent attorney.
Unfortunately, there was no happy ending for former Oktoberfest waitress Carolin Pauli as the final candidate of the WWM Gambler Special. When asked for 8,000 euros, the woman from Munich was sure that a flight from Germany eastwards would cross the Indian Ocean. However, it is much too southern for that. Instead, Jauch had asked about the date line. Let’s hope the next edition of the RTL quiz show will be more lucrative. On November 17, the candidates will again play for charity in the celebrity special.
