OAS Assembly 2022: Pedro Castillo will meet with the US Secretary of State today.

As part of the 52 General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS), which will be held in Lima from October 5 to 7, the President of the Republic, Petersburgwill honor the working meeting agreed with the Secretary of State of the United States of America, Anton Blinken.

Foreign Minister César Landa Arroyo will also attend the meeting, according to the Presidency’s Strategic Communications and Press Secretariat.

After the meeting, the authorities will hold a press conference at the Government Palace headquarters.

This activity is scheduled at 5:00 p.m. this Thursday, October 6th in the executive headquarters.

It is worth mentioning that Antony Blinken arrived in Peru last Wednesday afternoonafter visiting Bogotá, where he met with Colombian President Gustavo Petro, and Santiago de Chile, where he met with Chilean President Gabriel Boric.

Last Wednesday, October 5th, the opening of the 52nd General Assembly of the OAS, based in Lima, took place in Peru. However, we cannot make decisions behind our backs and without listening to the social actors and representatives of civil society who carry the voice and aspirations of our peoples, because on Monday August 3rd we had the opportunity to share with the youth of America to start a conversation to collect their expectations and demands. Today we open this dialogue with you, the representatives of civil society, so that all your interventions are channeled to solve together the great problems affecting our peoples of the continent.
