As part of the 52 General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS), which will be held in Lima from October 5 to 7, the President of the Republic, Petersburgwill honor the working meeting agreed with the Secretary of State of the United States of America, Anton Blinken.
Foreign Minister César Landa Arroyo will also attend the meeting, according to the Presidency’s Strategic Communications and Press Secretariat.
After the meeting, the authorities will hold a press conference at the Government Palace headquarters.

“It is our continent’s most important political, legal and social governance forum, bringing together heads of delegations and senior officials from the region. However, we cannot make decisions behind our backs and without listening to the social actors and representatives of civil society who carry the voice and aspirations of our peoples, because on Monday August 3rd we had the opportunity to share with the youth of America to start a conversation to collect their expectations and demands. Today we open this dialogue with you, the representatives of civil society, so that all your interventions are channeled to solve together the great problems affecting our peoples of the continent. We are all aware that the health and economic crisis we have been facing for more than 2 years has hit our countries hard,” he said.
“We face the challenge of proposing concrete and urgent solutions to meet these demands in line with the commitments made in the United Nations 2030 Agenda and on the basis of our strong democratic convictions.
