After seven years of dating, director James Gunn and actress Jennifer Holland have finally said yes. Many famous colleagues, including ‘Guardians’ stars Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana, fled during the celebration. The secret of the wedding cake decoration was also revealed.
Director James Gunn and actress Jennifer Holland celebrated their wedding. “After more than seven years together, I’m finally married to the love of my life @jenniferlholland,” Gunn wrote on Instagram alongside photos of the ceremony. “What an incredible, beautiful, breathtaking day surrounded by the most amazing family and friends. And yes, that’s a moose appearing at the start of the ceremony!” He also explained that there was, among other things, a “Marvel vs DC” softball game.
Gunn is the director of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy series and DC Universe’s The Suicide Squad (2021). Holland appeared in “The Suicide Squad” as government agent Emilia Harcourt. She also plays this role in the spin-off series Peacemaker, which was developed by Gunn.
The couple tied the knot against a scenic backdrop in Aspen, Colorado. Many well-known colleagues attended the celebration of the couple. The photos also feature Guardians stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan and Pom Klementieff, as well as John Cena and his Suicide Squad co-stars Joel Kinnaman and Nathan Fillion.
Gunn previously shared on social media that Jennifer Holland didn’t want to show him the wedding cake decorations because it would reveal details about her dress at the same time. When he finally saw the cake, he was excited about the work of the confectionery. “Thanks to @OriginalFunko for our cake decorations! They match my tuxedo and Jenn’s dress perfectly – they did such a great job that Jenn didn’t show me her Funko before the wedding!” Gunn tweeted. The top of the elaborately decorated cake was decorated with two characters: mini James and mini Jennifer in a cartoon version.
James Gunn and Jennifer Holland got engaged in February. The director announced the good news via Instagram and posted a photo of his loved ones. The actress was clearly wearing an engagement ring. The actress and director have been a couple since 2015. Mutual friends had paired them up for a blind date, as Holland once revealed to the “Hollywood Reporter.”
