Despite his imprisonment, Mathias Pogba appeared in new videos posted to his Twitter account on Friday, in which he continues his allegations against his brother Paul Pogba, a Juventus star and 2018 world champion with France.
Mathias Pogba, who is accused of extortion in an organized gang and participation in a criminal organization of criminals, appears alone again, wearing a black T-shirt and reading several paper messages aloud.
He explains that both the puzzling videos and some of the messages posted on his Twitter account on Thursday night were recorded and that their publication was planned in case he was not “free”.
Mathias Pogba, 32, continues his allegations against his younger brother Paul, 29, who filed a complaint with the Torino prosecutor’s office on July 16, before the case became public in late August when his older brother released the first videos.
Mathias takes this opportunity to elaborate on the facts he accuses Paul Pogba of, in particular towards his family. He also directly attacks Rafaela Pimenta, the Juventus player’s agent.
Contacted by AFP, Rafaela Pimenta’s agency did not immediately respond.
Mathias Pogba again raises the issue of witchcraft, explaining that his brother would have tried to cast a witch on his teammate Kylian Mbappé in connection with the 2019 Champions League second leg between Paris SG, Mbappé’s club, and Manchester United, in which Paul Pogba plays to curse was a member at the time.
In addition to Mathias Pogba, four other men have been charged with extortion with a gun, kidnapping in an organized gang and criminal association of malefactors and have been taken into temporary custody over this bizarre affair.
After testifying before investigators about the kidnapping events on the night of March 19-20, 2022, Paul Pogba reported falling into a trap set by his childhood friends armed with assault rifles. The player hypothesized that his brother was acting “under pressure” from people who wanted to get money from him.
The 2018 world champion is currently recovering after undergoing knee surgery in early September. His participation in the 2022 World Cup is still uncertain.
