The comings and goings of the characters are part of a long running TV show like “Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten”. It’s still hard for fans to say goodbye to long-running characters they’ve grown fond of. Like now from Maren Seefeld, whose actress Eva Mona Rodekirchen is leaving the series.
Eva Mona Rodekirchen leaves the RTL series “Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten” (GZSZ). She was seen in the successful format for twelve years. The 46-year-old embodied the “Kiez-Kauf” boss Maren Seefeld.
“The past two and a half years have been very challenging for all of us and I felt my strength go,” Rodekirchen said in an interview with RTL. “Since I have very high demands on myself and my work, I will charge my battery first.”
Saying goodbye is not easy for her, Rodekirchen makes clear. She was actually afraid of “bursting into tears during the last few shoots,” she explains. But in the end, she “got it done really well.”
family time
The actress now wants to make time for her family as a priority. “First of all, I want to spend a lot more time with my family and my daughter,” she explains. She recently bought an allotment garden, which is now “being brought into shape”. “When everything is ready, I invite everyone. I would like to meet or visit all my friends again. All those that I have had to reject again and again in recent years. So a little more time for my loved ones, for me and for something new in acting,” she says.
In episode 7.600, Maren Seefeld goes on a world tour with her daughter and leaves Kolle-Kiez. But Rodekirchen hopes for a return: “I wish, and it would be the best thing, that Maren would eventually have had enough of her trip around the world, and would like to go back to the neighborhood because 100 percent will arrive again. and I can continue as an actress at GZSZ with the decisiveness, with the then put in my shoes. That would actually be the best.”
Eva Mona Rodekirchen first appeared as Maren Seefeld in “Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten” on November 16, 2010. The last episode will run with her on September 15.
