Twitter also banned Kanye West

Kanye West is currently carrying out one provocation after another – and getting the consequences that come with it. Instagram first throws him off the platform before he is now also blocked on Twitter. The reason should again be an anti-Semitic statement by the rapper.
After Instagram, Twitter also blocked the account of American rapper Kanye West. A company spokesperson confirmed to CNN that the musician’s account had been suspended “for violating Twitter guidelines.”
Twitter also deleted a tweet from the rapper. According to media reports, it was an anti-Semitic statement.
West, who now calls himself Ye, was blocked from Instagram on Friday. A spokesperson for the meta company, which owns the social network, said content had been removed from West’s account, according to CNN. In addition, a restriction was imposed because the singer violated company guidelines. However, it did not specify what was offensive about the content or what type of restriction was imposed.
Applause from Elon Musk
According to the CNN report, West shared a now-deleted Instagram post featuring a screenshot of a “text conversation” with rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs. The content of the conversation was criticized by the American Jewish Committee as “anti-Jewish”.
After the incident, West tweeted for the first time in nearly two years. Tech billionaire Elon Musk, who is trying to take over Twitter, immediately celebrated the return: “Welcome back to Twitter, my friend!” he wrote. In addition to the post, which has since been deleted, West also wrote several tweets in which he called for support for, among other things, the protests in Iran.
Scandal at Fashion Week
For the current feud on social networks, West caused a scandal during Paris Fashion Week. Here he appeared wearing a shirt that read “White Lives Matter”. The slogan is popular in right-wing circles to discredit the anti-racist “Black Lives Matter” movement.
West gave a rather confused explanation for his appearance with the controversial saying. “The reason I put ‘White Lives Matter’ on a shirt is because they do. It’s obvious,” he said. He also thought it was funny to wear the slogan as a black man. “I do things with feeling,” West says.
