Actually, short haircuts are more for summer. But Lena Meyer-Landrut chooses the countercyclical path, dropping the wool just in time for the onset of fall. “Somehow it has something of the young Victoria Beckham,” some say.
“I even did my hair for you” (“I even did my hair for you”), Lena Meyer-Landrut once sang in her Eurovision Song Contest winning song “Satellite”. But this motto is timeless – and so the 31-year-old presents herself to the nearly five million followers on her Instagram account with a completely new haircut.
Her hair, which last fell to her waist, is gone. Instead, the singer welcomes the beginning of fall with a short haircut that reaches just over her ears.

Their fans’ reactions to the new look are as quick as those of several celebrities. “Schöööön!!!!”, writes former winner of “Germany’s next top model”, Stefanie Giesinger, in the comment column. Cathy Hummels leaves a simple “Wow”, music producer Mousse T. a flame emoji.
Entertainer Riccardo Simonetti saw “Natalie Imbruglia vibes.” And actually, Lena is now a bit reminiscent of the Australian singer, who scored a world hit with “Torn” 25 years ago. Or are there more memories of a former Spice Girl awake? “Somehow it has something of the young Victoria Beckham,” says one user.
From Tokyo to Milan
Thematically, the parallels with the contemporary designer Beckham are in keeping with the times. After all, Lena also shows the autumn and winter collection of her label “a lot less” at the “About You Fashion Week” in Milan.
Lena also talked a bit about how she herself is looking forward to the start of the cold season. “There is a good fall and a bad fall. No one really needs a gray, rainy 12-degree fall. But we all wish for a beautiful 15 to 16-degree fall with a blue sky and red-yellow leaves,” she explained, summing up it together : ” Late summer yes, autumn no thanks.”
Lena’s appearance in Milan when it comes to fashion shows just how busy she is. She recently took a trip to Tokyo – because of her music. With her song “Life Was A Beach” she had a surprise hit here a few months ago, thanks to Tiktok. Whatever she touches, Lena seems to be succeeding right now – whatever her haircut looks like.
