If Elon Musk is suddenly the voice of reason, something is probably wrong. The Tesla boss spoke to Kanye West about his anti-Semitic tweets. The rapper took this announcement to heart, at least Musk believes so himself.

Elon Musk spoke to Kanye West after his anti-Semitic slippages. The 51-year-old entrepreneur writes this on Twitter. “I spoke to Ye today and shared my concerns about his recent tweet and I think he took that to heart,” Musk said.

Just hours after his return to Twitter, the company had suspended Kanye West’s account and deleted a tweet. According to media reports, the messages were muddled, anti-Semitic texts.

West’s preferred platform Instagram had previously banned the rapper. A spokesperson for the meta company, which owns the social network, said a restriction has also been imposed because the singer has violated company guidelines, according to CNN. However, it did not specify what was offensive about the content or what type of restriction was imposed.

Musk initially happy with West’s Twitter comeback

Ye, as the artist also calls himself, then activated his Twitter account, which had been inactive for two years. First, Elon Musk greeted the musician with the words “Welcome back to Twitter, my friend”. The native South African is currently planning to take over the company again.

Kanye West has been attracting attention in recent days with racist and anti-Semitic statements. At a fashion show of his collection in Paris, he wore a shirt with the slogan “White Lives Matter”. The phrase has been used in right-wing circles in response to “Black Lives Matter,” the African-American movement against alleged racially motivated police brutality. He then spoke with statements the American Jewish Committee deemed deeply “disturbing, dangerous and anti-Semitic.”
