After debuting on television in the Netherlands and finding its replica elsewhere in Europe, Big Brother He arrived in Argentina at a very special time: in 2001, the year of which the crisis was to affect all of society. For this reason, the reality show – a novelty at the time – was a way out of an economically and socially difficult situation for many. For the viewer, it meant being entertained and distracted for a while. And for thousands of anonymous applicants, the opportunity to earn a good amount of money in very difficult times.
The first edition of GH Earlier this year, the second was in the midst of chaos, and the third episode aired in October 2002. This last one was won by Viviana Colmenerobut who had a major impact was Natalia Quintillian.
Born in Junín, she was 23 at the time and was working as a promoter and model when she decided to do the casting that was called at the stadium Flow. There he told that he was divorced and had a daughter, melinewho had served four years. After his departure from the a house He tried to find his place in the theatrical world, taking classes, taking part in various plays, but little by little his light in the artistic world faded.
Today, away from the media, Natalia spoke up tv show. “When I found out about the tender big brother 3 I didn’t hesitate to go to the casting -he remembers-. I was a fan of reality and wanted to enter this house. I wanted to live in Capital with my daughter. I wanted to be an actress, I wanted to be famous, I wanted to have money… I wanted to have fun! A little bit of everything drove me, and a little bit of everything happened…”.
phone announces a new edition these days GH. Driving a car this time Santiago del Moro. “When I hear this music in commercials, my heart starts beating fast,” admits Quintiliano. It brings me back to those moments and it’s like stepping back inside. I had a great time there.”
“Your memories are the best.
-Yes totally. The best memories of a unique experience that only those of us who live it can feel. We’re talking about a phase that marked a before and after in my life. I am still in contact with most of my colleagues to this day and we maintain a good friendship. A nice group has formed and this was demonstrated with this: 20 years have passed and many of us are still in touch.
—How did you cope with the exhibition and being instantly recognized on the street?
— Luckily I didn’t have any problems, on the contrary. Even as the years went by, people still recognized me, they remembered me, my baby. Or it was the typical: “I see you familiar face…”. I still have a lot of fans who give me a lot of love and I appreciate that. I was present at all the nominations, so imagine… I was the first to drop out by public decision, but left voluntarily as a colleague (Sebastian Spur) went back to the a house and I was the last one eliminated when the four finalists were left. In total I was 98 days.
– And how was it for you the exit from Big Brother?
— At the end of the issue, they quickly canceled our contract, which is why we couldn’t show ourselves in TV shows. We’re all a little helpless not knowing how to handle this exposure until I have learned that life goes on, that was a beautiful experience, unique, like life itself. So I tried to look for alternatives. I studied theater with Karl Evaristo, Lawrence Quinteros Y Daniel Peiran. In addition, I worked at events with well-known brands, did promotions, looked for work and so I stayed at Capital. That was one of my dreams and I was able to make it come true. First I looked for an apartment. I lived alone with my daughter and my unconditional mother. I had to feed myself somehow, I didn’t like the nightlife, so I withdrew further and further from all of that.
– And what happened the day after this decision?
—I began to shape my current life. I got a steady job and a few years later I met Gerard, my current partner who is not from the media or anything related to the art world and we are starting a family. I’ve become a mom again Augustine Y Sofia. Today I live in Capitan Sarmiento, in the province of Buenos Aires.
—And what is the life of Meli, this girl who has also earned a place in the hearts of viewers?
—Melina is 24, she graduated as a psychologist and moved to the United States. Due to the situation in the country, she has decided to keep growing and we support her in this.
-In the GH You had an affair with Pablo Martínez. Are you still in contact with him?
—I never saw Pablo again and I have no contact. magically gone. At this moment It could have been a nice romance, but it didn’t happen.. What happened is that when leaving the a house Everyone went in different directions, different views of the future. But everything is fine. Everything happens for a reason.
– Have you been in a relationship with a famous person?
Hmm… (laughs). The truth is that so many years have passed that I can’t even remember, but there was also something… But that was it. Don’t ask me for names or any other information because I don’t remember… (laughs).
“How is your life now?” What are you working?
—We have a cleaning company and fortunately we are doing very well. I also work as a clerk in the incoming table of the San Carlos Hospital.
– New edition of Big Brother. Any recommendations for those attending?
– Enjoy it and make the most of it. Let them be themselves, but use strategy because it’s nothing more than a game. It’s life itself. The key is knowing how to be yourself and not wanting to make character.
